Afternoon walk

This is the view from the top of one of Sheffield's many very steep streets, as the city's much like a bowl, with hills nearly all around.
I've always loved this view out over the city, with its jumble of styles, colours and shapes... and not least the ever-present cranes.  The city centre, now battered both by years of "austerity" and by Covid, is in a constant process of stop-start redevelopment.
This afternoon I'd arranged to meet a friend near the bottom of this street, as her daughter has been offered a council bungalow nearby.  She (the daughter) has some chronic health problems, so the choice of a new place to live has some sensitive dimensions.
We were checking out the bungalow for any obvious pros and cons, in advance of my friend's visit with her daughter, on Monday.  In fact, it all looked good: a quiet cul de sac, a sunny garden, not too much work to do on the bungalow to get it straight. So fingers crossed for Monday.
