Overflowered

We didn't wake until just before 9 a.m. so everything that followed was later than usual, except the window cleaner and the Sainsbury's delivery.

The window cleaner had arranged with the neighbours to clean out their gutters with a long handled suction machine, so we had ours done too.  There wasn't a lot up there but what there was was a soggy mess and saves the birds doing it for us.

I had some new wellies delivered this lunchtime, a size bigger than the ones I bought recently, which will be downgraded to gardening.  They are much more comfortable for walking in, with a bit more breathing space.

I also had three boot-size trays delivered, which are ideal for wet and muddy shoes or boots, and I think I'll send for several more to sit in the bottom of the cupboards under the stairs.  Individual trays are much easier to position, carry and clean than family-sized ones.

Our local pub has started doing Friday night takeaways, so it's fish, chips and mushy peas for us tonight.
