Road through the reserve

We went out for some eggs and resinous wood for lighting the fire then posted a letter. What rare excitement.
We passed through the reserve on the way back. Unfortunately the local council there had squandered a lot of money on asphalt but fortunately they were stopped from doing the most environmentally valuable section. There are banners further up suggesting that there may have been a protest against it. They may have been intending to fell this majestic alley. Desecration of nature seems to be policy at the moment - just because they can. At least they could be exhorted to change their minds.
