Catalyst

No. 17 in our passageway has been uninhabited for 8 years due to an inheritance dispute.  It has been a potential and actual target for squatters and suffered various break-ins with intent to steal (you don't know there is nothing to take until you force entry). There was another break in last night with motive unknown but our new street camera caught three intruders doing whatever they were up to, including scaling the facade and forcing the rear door from the inner patio.  The police said the only safe way was to block the place up, so we (the junta of the street council) called the owner who lives Galicia and told him that his prevarication was over and that we were going to block the house up and paint the facade at his expense.  He agreed, and I managed to persuade our usual workmen to get the materials and do the deed before midnight so we can all sleep better. 

The police put up ''no entry' tapes that made it look like a crime scene as we got on with the entombing work.
