Happy Hour

Female American Goldfinches having a drink. You can see they are going through their winter molting, changing from that bright yellow to drab grey/yellow. The boys are changing too.

The extras show lunch with girls and one that posed for her portrait. I have counted up to 12 finches on this feeding sack at one time. They are hungry little beggars.

Spent the morning cooking. It was cold and gloomy and being in the kitchen warms me up. The sun is out now. I am grateful to see it!
