Still valiantly flowering

This is the only one of the roses in the front yard that is still flowering.  I don't think this year they ever looked quite as good as they do in that linked photo - I suspect they got a bit dry during our very dry spring, and then sulked through a wet and windy "summer".

Several of the roses in the main garden are still looking quite good.  The standard rose has a few buds, and the little pink rose I blipped a few days ago still has a number of flowers and buds.

Our usable exercise facilities are expanding.  This morning W cleared the sauna, which has been functioning as a storage facility, and tried out the "cooking".  It's a dry heat room, rather than a traditional sauna, and this morning he struggled with the controls - it's several years since he last used it.  I've never been much of a fan of saunas or steam rooms, but W finds it relaxing and good for general well being.  He also pumped up the two exercise balls which have been stored in there - now those I do fancy using.
