meow... i'm just wanting to get credit - where credit is due, that's all... lounging is a word i'd used regarding this pose - meep - when we discussed it... remember? it was the word-of-the day in "the kitty times"... i was quite taken by it since it defined what some humans seem to do pretty accurately - meep

meep - meep... not really - one of the things that really affects me is seeing those human ones hanging out on street corners - you know - the ones who have signs saying they'll work for money... meep - meep... if that's the case, then why are they standing on the street corner instead of actually working? doesn't that mean they just want a free handout after all - meep... so as i was pawing through my "kitty times" and saw the definition of "to pass time lazily, be idle, loiter" it made me wonder... doesn't it make you wonder, too, mama? meep

yes, gracie - it does... i always wonder what their stories are - when i pass those individuals... are they for real - do they have families - are they down on their luck or as you're asking, simply looking for a handout... it's hard to tell without having a conversation with each one of them - i'm not certain how safe that would be for me to do by myself - it makes me question, too, how money they get is spent - not that it's any business of mine... as people - we have a responsibility to be compassionate towards each other - to lend help where we can - to offer assistance if we're able... i'm not able to give everyone i see money - but i can say a kind word to them, attempt to encourage - say a prayer for them - hope they have a better day or time of it tomorrow...

meep - meep... that's a good thing to do, mama - but i don't understand why humans need to be in situations like that in the first place... as for me - i'm grateful to have my house with you and these sunbeams - i'm finding more of them lately - meep
