Sally Mair - Loving life

Webbs Wonder

This Web has been on the car for at least 3 days. During that time the car had done 20 miles. That's a pretty impressive construction.

Up this morning and off to church for our mid week Eucharist. It's the 11th of November today so we observed the silence at 11am. One of those who I remember in particular is my father's elder brother who was shot down over the Channel during an air skirmish. He had been married just 13 days before and was called back to his unit while on his way to his honeymoon. His body was never found. My father missed his big brother and spoke of him with awe and heart love until he died, 67 years later. He is commemorated three times that I know of, on his mother's grave, on his wife's grave and on the RAF memorial at Runnymede.
Back home I had an industrious afternoon giving the bedroom a thorough clean and tidy. I got sidetracked at one point and started cleaning silver jewellery it's amazing what a difference it makes.
I'm having a lazy evening now in front of the TV while Colin has a vestry meeting on Zoom.

Keep safe and well everyone. Too many more deaths and indeed cases.
