Extending ....

.... my cooking repertoire by making (or trying to make) chicken pie with shortcrust pastry made from a mix (if not entirely from scratch).

My rolling and presentation require further work and a proper pie dish wouldn't go amiss but it tasted fine. 

The rest of the day went well - as forecast it was raining from when I got up but rather than going straight to desk as is my wont I "made" myself go out and felt the benefit of it. I met one of my neighbours and had a good chat with her and then came back and practiced my Gaelic and caught up with admin tasks.

Latest figures aren't good and I expect town will be a lot quieter this weekend. Two out of five main pub, all of whom serve meals, have announced they will close whìle we are tier 3.
