Lest We Forget
We walked a 5-mile loop to Bramshott this afternoon, passing through the churchyard en route. Here there are the war graves of 318 Canadians who died during or soon after the First World War, many of them victims of the 1918/1919 flu pandemic. In amongst them are the graves of two female nursing sisters: Agnes Forneri and Ida Kealy. Pictured is a rather nice, I thought, painted pebble someone had placed on the war memorial.
In other news, I’ve received a letter advising me that I’ve been randomly selected for a COVID-19 testing study, so I’ve said yes and a test is winging its way to me.
