Indoor Blip: The Prophet Said, "PLAY"
More commanding in large
This is the Prophet, my analogue polyphonic synth... It is an analogue synthesiser (the main audio path is entirely analogue, like my Moog), but benefits from some modern twists like digital effects and extensive modulation capabilities (allowing for extremely flexible sound design); it is polyphonic with 16 voices (16 chains of the components that produce its sound), so can play up to 16 notes simultaneously, or can be split to behave as two synthesisers with 8 voices each (i.e. it is bitimbral), with the two sounds split across the keyboard or layered on top of each other. It can sound absolutely vast, and its sound is very flexible and dynamic.
My favourite regions of "soundspace" are ever-changing sounds that feel as though they're exploring, developing, or morphing as a note is held.
I spent a while in the morning playing with sound (/obeying the Prophet).
