Surprise Gift

I enjoyed a blissful hour in The Fig Tree Spa today. Treated myself to a manicure with lots of soothing oils and scrubs to nourish my ‘sandpaper’ hands from all the anti-bac gel. On my way out I received a surprise gift in celebration of the spa’s 15 years of trading. It’s filled with lovely miniature treats.

I will miss my little retreat time in the spa and chats with the girls as lockdown 2 is looming. The announcement was made tonight while I sat in the pub.

The village spa, cafe and pub are my sanity restoration. I find walking is great to keep me balanced but it will be difficult with dark evenings and working long hours.
