Tiny shoot

After noticing about, erm, three years ago that Dracaena marginata was heading for the ceiling, it only took me about two and a half years to get round to giving it a severe pollarding. I probably ended up doing it at the wrong time of year, so the growing tip of the original which I potted up is only just clinging on to life on the kitchen windowsill whilst the remaining stump has being doing a good impression of dead wood. However, I noticed today that there's a tiny shoot!

I see that the face of the sinister giant white cat of Leith has reappeared across the square. Time to close the blinds and head for bed.....
