A cold day here

Today has probably been the coldest day since we have been in Colorado.  It snow showered most of the night and this morning.  We went out about 7:30 but it was really a waste of time (but the hunter said "just in case" the deer were moving!).   Who moves when it is 19F (-7C) with a windchill of -7 (-21C)...and that wind was really cold!

Anyway, we sat in the truck and he watched the hillsides.   He did see a few elk far away and we saw a bald eagle with his breakfast...a bunny!   Sad but survival is real here.  

We stayed at the lodge this afternoon so I walked outside to get a photo of the icicles hanging off the roof of the house.   

We will be here for a few more days to enjoy this cold air and the mountains.   I heard it was really warm at home and felt like summer!!
