Old V's New

A late Blip today as its been a long day and I've just got home.

After yesterdays view of the Manchester Skyline at sunset from 10 miles away I found myself today in the city centre. For those that do not not the area this is a view of the new Hilton Hotel from Castlefield. I just love the contrast of old versus new.

I'm quite pleased with this. I used my new compact camera (Panasonic DMC-LX5) as I'm not always that comfortable walking around the city with my DSLR and it seems to have coped with the light rather well.

After a good walk around the city and a little bit of shopping we ended the day at the French Restaurant "Le Relais de Venise" for L'entrecote. Simply steak and chips served with their own classic sauce. Delicious! I highly recommend it.

Now back home and this quick Blip complete I'm now going to put my feet up and enjoy a wee glass of Malt Whisky.
