Sunset on the Moor
I spent some time this morning cleaning and anti-baccing the upstairs in preparation for Robert coming in to sort the big cupboard. He has made a new frame and doors for it and will board it out and paint it. Then all those boxes can go back in and I can think about decorating the staircase. Over the years, Robert has made so many improvements to our house I have lost count!
Tony finished off cleaning the greenhouse and replacing his shelving then took the window boxes from the front window up to the allotment. I love the window boxes but they do leave a sluggy/snaily mess behind when they go, so I chucked a few jugs of water over them and had a go with the scrubbing brush, but they will need another proper doing, possibly tomorrow. And then the sun came out, just before it went down, so we quickly headed up the moor for a walk.
A while ago, neighbours Gabrielle and Steve told us about their picnic rock on the moor which had a great view, and Tony managed to find it recently. So, my something new for today is the view from the picnic rock. The sun disappeared pretty quickly after we resumed our walk but it was still lovely to be out as we crossed the moor and came down through the village.
You have to look very carefully but there are the wind turbines at Ogden and the viaduct on there in the distance!
