15.05. Coffee in the summerhouse.

We’ve just both been out for a little walk around the block.
Gorgeous afternoon light.
Felt so good to be outside.
Now I’m having a coffee and a chocolate biscuit in my favourite place.
Stephen will have a snooze.
The District Nurse has been this morning again.
It’s a different one each time.
They are lovely and work their socks off.
Back again on Friday.
Then same next week.
She was closely followed by the Sainsbury’s delivery. It took me ages to unpack it from the doorstep where they have to leave it in baskets, whilst standing at a safe distance, with masks on.
A young lady called Emily brought it. (I always ask their names). She has a little boy of 4 years old just started school.
He is called Frankie.
(We had quite a chat as she waited for me to put all the shopping into bags and then move it out of the porch. )
It was then time to make lunch.
The colours are still lovely today with deep rich reds, burnt orange, vibrant green, and yellows.
Our maple by the summerhouse is now beginning to shed leaves. But still has loads of foliage. Even after its trim by the tree surgeons earlier last week.
I keep forgetting what day it is!
Everyone is still euphoric here that Trump has gone, but wish it was really all over!
It must be so hard for Joe Biden had Kamala Harris to plan, with him still ranting and playing golf!
Someone should change all the locks, ha ha!
Meantime I am so enjoying the sun shining through the window on to my face, as I finish my coffee. The biscuit was demolished earlier!
