Not as bad as in Napier

As part of getting the apartment ready to be seen by prospective buyers we have been advised to declutter it. That has been difficult for S, as we don't have anywhere (yet) to regard as home. Storage of the "excess" is order of the day.

After some months of much lower than average rainfall, the last few weeks have been notable for lots of rain. Yesterday and today have been no exception. This afternoon's jog which took me into Grey Lynn Park and via the park edge path to the southern corner. 

My photo is of the lowest point in the path which usually has a little water standing after heavy rain. This was one of the biggest collections I've seen. I liked the reflections. Also tiles have been inlaid to show an eel like shape, which looks very life-like through the water.

I chose one of the few rainless periods of the day to take my jog. I'm beginning to feel much less effort is involved in running for increasingly longer distances. Still avoiding running uphill.

The reference to Napier is that after a drought, Napier has been deluged with very heavy rain, causing flooding and mudslides.
