Belted Kingfisher

Went over to Silver River State Park this chilly morning (below freezing), which is roughly 4 minutes from my house!

I was standing on the boat ramp watching a great blue heron through the fog when this little fellow landed right beside me. I eased the camera up, got off two quick shots, and he was gone........
