Huntington Reserve

Today we had an adventure to celebrate my 63rd birthday.  Since it was nearly 80 degrees, there was no question but to head to Lake Erie again.  I love, love, love being near water.  Today we went along the shore on the west side of downtown Cleveland.  Our first stop was a Lakewood community park that was crawling with people, so we kept going.  Then on to Huntington Reserve where this photo was taken.  Its narrow beach with five piers sits below a long tree-covered cliff.  The water was smooth like glass.  There were a waders, kayakers, boaters, people fishing, stone skippers, etc.  We met two lovely ladies who volunteer as park ambassadors.  Our third destination was Rocky River Reservation.  Darkness was descending as we drove along the parkway, noticing hiking and biking paths, lots of people fishing in the river, etc. etc.  We will definitely need at least a whole day to explore RRR further.

I am grateful for the phone calls, voice mails, and cards I received to celebrate the day.  Thanks for your visits.  Be well.
