A little ray of sunshine

Craving sunshine today. After a 12 hour shift on Saturday and endless mist since I struggled at work this morning. The warm air, the lack of daylight, face masks and constantly steaming up goggles put me on edge in a way I haven't felt in a while. A five minute break in the cooler air outside got me through the rest of the day. We all felt a little like we were swimming against the tide. The lack of staff, students, new to our department who missed much of last year's placements, a constant stream of patients, plus a new image achieved system crash made the day a tad stressful. I was glad to get off the train an get my mask off for a few days, bar a quick shop I'll need to do!

I'm not optimistic for sunshine but hopefully the mist will lift tomorrow!
