Today's the day ………………… to paint a pebble

From the start of Lockdown, right through the summer, a long snake of painted stones has slowly appeared on St Cuthberts’ Church wall in the town.

The Kirkcudbright Stones Project has attracted a great deal of interest with locals and visitors alike.  It has created a tremendous feeling of goodwill and coming-together in the town during that difficult period.

And now a proposal has been made - to move the stones to a permanent home within the town.  They will be part of a landscaped area with brand new benches and a smart plaque recognising the positive contribution that the community has made. 

It's a great idea ……………………….. !
