Waiting
Woke to another very murky morning. Couldn’t see the trees of the St Ives Estate woods across the back gardens.
Did the ATN Zoom sing this morning, the first time for a while which was good. The outside (Marquee) group singing is now off for a while, at least the rest of this month anyway, nice to touch base.
We then went up to New Coley garden centre for some bulbs and to take some books. They didn’t have any bulbs (left it too late) and although they didn’t say they wouldn’t take the book donations, for fundraising for a local Sue Ryder Hospice, they recommended I kept them till Spring. They close from December till February and she said they will just get damp. Makes sense but that means I have 4 bags of ‘stuff’ now needing a new home!
I assume they expect to sell this lot before they close. There were some really huge ones too, there seems to be a trend to start Christmas even earlier than usual - just in case?
I will be waiting till December.
This afternoon I recorded another two Christmas songs for our ATN virtual Christmas Concert video. I absolutely hate doing it but when the voices are blended they seem to sound OK and it’s for a good cause. All the care homes we would normally visit to sing at during the ‘season’ will get a copy to play and sing a long to. Two more to come!
