Coot #91 and Black Headed Gull #92
A very dull day and I was feeling a bit off so we went out for some fresh air in the hope that it would cheer me up.
The car park at Spike Island only had half a dozen cars in it so I was much happier than Saturday. There were plenty of swans all being fed seed on the canal up by the cafe and some ducks and gulls knocking about as well hence today’s blip of a coot and black headed gull bagging me two more unblipped birds for this years list. We also saw a kestrel, buzzard and little egret - all too far away for photographs, a small flock of long tailed tits who wouldn’t sit still for more than a second and heard a little grebe, but did not see it. The light was dreadful, but it was great to get out for a bit and it was quite warm too for the time of year.
Tomorrow is shopping day again and this time we have my brother to shop for as well, but at least his test has come back negative - he just has to continue his 2 weeks of isolation according to his work rules.
