Keeping watch

A bright but very cold afternoon so we went for a walk part way down Steep Hill and around the cathedral. I took lots of shots of the cathedral but caught sight of this little fellow high up on the south side facing the door and have chosen him today as I was pleased to spot him. A bit of a Google search and it turns out that it was modelled on one of the people who work in the cathedral by one of the stonemasons doing the restoration work. Absolutely amazing that not only can they do something so intricate as this in stone but then it is not even located in full view but just a small part of what they are doing across the whole building.
