Coming Home

We've had a wonderful weekend - lots of time spent with my charming and gorgeous youngest granddaughter,Lily, (this statement comes from a devoted Grandma, of course) but Lily is a normal child really, she has her moments!! but then don't they all - but still gorgeous). We've put paint on the wobbly lizard I brought her, with the help of No. 1 daughter who came to join us yesterday; and the paint went on other places as well.... we've danced like Kylie (DVD), we've read umpteen books, we've been to the nice Garden Centre (see yesterday's blip) where a little person was disappointed because the Eco Room (where kids can do lots of experiments etc) was closed; we've run, we've jumped and skipped and I've been thoroughly spoilt by all. Now totally done in and pleased in the knowledge that the rest of the grandchildren between us, of which there are 10, would definitely not be seen dead with grandma dancing like Kylie!!

The weather has been delightful all weekend and the sky tonight was something else. There was a HUGE sun all the way up the M6 when we were travelling home (not very good when you are travelling north west, but nonetheless magnificent); and as the time got closer to 5.30pm everywhere was bathed in an orange/pink glow. Couldn't get any decent shots out of the car window at speed, and T was not keen to travel at 30mph in the slow lane. He did, however, accommodate me for a few miles and then got blocked in in the roadworks and was forced to exit the M6 North and onto the A38, Birmingham Central. OMG the sky may have been 50 shades of pink but the air was certainly the bluest it has ever been and Blipfoto was cursed up hill and down dale!!!!!!! I thought it was hilarious and, after all, we only had to do a quick helter skelter ride round Spaghetti Junction and before we knew it we were back on M6 North.

We are now safely home and I think he has forgiven me.
