A science experiment

We had a bet that an egg won't break if it is dropped from 20m onto grass. I thought it would break. My flatmate was confident it would survive.

For some reason (maybe was a bit nervous for this bet) he tried to cheat and threw a boiled egg out first. Th egg smashed and revealed he cheated. He then threw the raw egg out and to my surprise it survived. 

In all the excitement my bowl also fell out, but onto the tarmac and cracked.
