Hats off

Hats off to all those brave men and women who served to keep our country free of tyranny. It all sounds a bit corny these days but, having hiked along the Kent coast and read about the Battle of Britain that was fought out in the sky overhead, I realised what a close run thing it was. The remembrance service was managed with great skill in the circumstances and it always moves me. 

After that a walk round the golf course was called for, especially as the sun was shining. And setting off the autumn tints was a lady in a splendid red hat. I asked Camilla if I could take her picture and she agreed with great laughter. And you've got a selfie in her sunglasses.
