Remembrance Sunday

From the archives - our old family Bible has both a leaf pressed between its pages, perhaps by my grandmother, and an order of service for a Day of Prayer observed in August of 1918, at the request of King George V, three months before what would be the Armistice. Though in our country we celebrate the 11th of November as Veteran's Day (as well we should), sometimes the reason for remembering the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month gets lost in the translation ... be well my friends - stay safe and care for each other
