Stone stripes, Catstycam

We came across these stone stripes whilst descending Catstycam - parallel stripes of sorted stones, running down the fall line. These patterns are formed over time by freeze-thaw action and solifluction.

From the other side of the corrie the low lighting picks out the extensive area of the stripes.
