Bang(ers)!

"A shower of sparkles" are my fireworks of choice rather than the big bangs.  Sparklers even better!

Blue Peter advice about keeping fireworks safely in a tin not heeded, but we all survived with mix of some remaining yesteryear fireworks, new sparklers, plus sausages.
