Hot Springs at Lake Albert
A primary school trip to Lake Albert, Uganda.
Up at 5.30, 120 on a coach, at least 3 to a seat.
35+ degree heat, no shade.
No complaints.
Pupils running back up the escarpment which forms the side of the Great Rift Valley.
Enjoying every minute of it.
Amazing.
The hot springs can be seen in the foreground. They still extract salt from these waters in a laborious, difficult process and end up with salt cones which they can then sell. Nice bit of science going on there!
