Apocalypse

This is the ride at Drayton Manor called Apocalypse. We were a long way from it, but it is so easy to spot. At the moment it is closed, but at Easter it will be busy again. I used to enjoy taking my Y6 pupils for their end of year treat to Drayton Manor. They loved taking me on the rides. This was a very quick one, but great fun. (Marked the ride rather than my vantage point on the map.)

Today we did a walk that I have not done since I was a child. It included a walk down a hill that we used to call Russia Hill, it was very steep. Now I know that it is perhaps called Rush Hill, as it is in Rush Lane. Also it had shrunk quite a bit. Still the view from the lane at the top was lovely. There were lots of birds singing. Also the lanes were so charming in the misty light.
