A glimmer of hope for the world

It was sunny and bright today. After a walk into the village to get some food and coffee I set about raking the front garden. It was a job long overdue - so many leaves and the last of the acorns. My son was also doing the same for an elderly couple across the street. Anyway, it was hard work but a job well done. We had a large number of these red toadstools on the grass.

Later this afternoon the best news of the year so far: Joe Biden had beaten Donald Trump in the US election. A true glimmer of hope for us all in an otherwise gloomy year. We had some celebratory drinks at home and tuned in for the virtual pub quiz! Things can only get better ...
