The dropped stitch

Still

A perfectly calm and very mild day.

After some bulb planting this morning a walk was the next priority. Important to be outside for as much of the day as possible.

I nearly didn't bother with the lecture lined up for this afternoon, but I'm so glad I did. The subject was the history of Halton Mill near Lancaster. Absolutely fascinating and definitely somewhere to be added to the 'Places to visit when we can travel again' list.

The Mill building is used now as 'a low-carbon space to work, create, perform, relax, teach and play'. An interesting and innovative project run by the co-operative who also set up Lancaster Cohousing.

All very inspiring and good to hear about as we work on, trying to get our small Orkney cohousing project off the ground.
