Harvesting Sunshine

I spent several hours in the garden today. Last year we'd had a beech hedge planted, but almost a third of the plants died in the draught this summer.
So I drove to a nursery, came home with a car full of new plants and planted them in the place of the dead ones.
It was exhausting work and I feel my age now.

The blip shows our roof. Those solar panels produced about 12 kWh of electricity today, that's a lot for November. On a sunny day in June or July it would be more than double that amount. Clean energy for us and the neighbourhood.

Meanwhile, P was in charge of shopping and cooking. We'll drink to his mother today, and also celebrate the good news from overseas.
