Reflective coot
While Mr DA and Son2 were watching some football on TV this afternoon and Son1 went for a walk, I decided to head back to Petersfield Heath to see the cormorants again. Unfortunately, they were all too far way (see Extras) and I wasn't going to hang around as it turned out to be incredibly busy there, with large numbers of people, the most cars I've ever seen in the car park, and very few people apparently having noticed the one-way system in place. I dodged and weaved my way round and found a quiet corner where I took a few pictures of coots and said hello to a rat that jumped over my foot. Then I came back home.
I'll be giving the place a wide berth at weekends from now on and giving the residents of Petersfield priority. It does seem rather that this lockdown is pushing more people into fewer spaces, potentially making it more difficult to socially distance...it'll be interesting to see what effect it's had overall by the end of the month.
In other news, hopefully there will be some good news coming from the other side of the Atlantic before the day is out...
