The golden hour

Martin Mere this afternoon. Much of it closed (shop, wildfowl collection, all hides), but we would avoid all of those anyway and it’s still good for a socially distanced walk. And we just love seeing and hearing the big flocks of pink foots.

A fantastic sunset too. The last time we were here for a sunset was January 1st, and I recall thinking as the sun sank below the horizon - I wonder what 2020 holds in store ? Well, now we know.

Extra - socially distanced from us too ( there is a broad water filled ditch in the way), a big herd of English Longhorn cattle, possibly my favourite breed. I guess they are doing their bit for habitat management.
