Or chrysanthemums to give them their full name. They are very tough too, these have been in the same container since last autumn and have probably had little water throughout the summer months.

My Nan used to grow hundreds of them for Christmas cut flowers, one of their greenhouses was full and the smell always takes me straight back there.

I finished the working day off by planting some shrubs in a new bed by streetlight, the natural light had gone! It's not ideal but does mean that job is finished.
