Firework fun

Home schooling was a little more successful this morning, the eldest did well with his maths and the youngest did well with his phonics.  

This afternoon was quite so 'on track', the task for the youngest was to set up a shop selling potions.  There was no chance of not letting the eldest join in, so once again we raided everything in the kitchen to make 'potions' - this included golden syrup, not all of which made it into the potion... They then made a 'car' from a box for their potions, I don't quit get the logic. 

We had fireworks this evening.  They LOVED it.  They were special quiet ones, which are great.  Some other fireworks went off quite near by and the youngest summed it up beautifully by saying 'that frightened my ears'.
