Chilly night ahead

The Barney Army arrived after dark to a hotel that has bunkhouses which were once for weary travellers to seek refuge. Nowadays they are owned by a hotel that wouldn’t give them refuge in a bunkhouse desire them all being empty.

Much emailing and complaining was done by us followers, but to no avail. I received an email from customer services informing me that they ( customer services ) close at 5pm and anyway they would not have been able to allow anyone to stay without payment, charity ride or not.

Luckily people living nearby brought them firewood and fish and chips. They also took Barney some haylage.

To make things worse, Andrew’s phone is rain damaged and keeps cutting out.

Last seen in good spirits next to a roaring campfire.
