Sorted

For those of you who enjoy pitting your wits against your resident squirrel, I came across a brilliant suggestion: Put cayenne pepper (or curry powder or chilli powder) in with your bird food.  It does the birds no harm and they don't mind it.  The squirrel, on the other hand, smells it from afar and leaves the feeder alone. It has to be renewed, of course, because it will blow away. So far so good . . .
