Meet up.

One early morning shower then it was a lovely dry day. It even felt quite warm in the sunshine.
Went down to the coast road to meet up with my brother and wife before they went back home. Under tier 2 we couldn't meet indoors so we planned a walk. We were so lucky with the weather after the storms of the previous few days.

It was good to catch up with news and just generally chat. We walked along the beach and talked for an hour and a half, which was better than I could have hoped for as they had a 5 hour drive ahead of them . We may have been on the beach longer but the tide came.in ( and it does come in fast).
5 minutes after I took this photo the sea was right up to the pebbles.

It was so good to see them, especially as it may be March before we see them again..

Theyd been very organised and brought up our Christmas and birthday presents. I had managed to get one for them , so far.

Back home I got on with more knitting (A Christmas present for Liz). The pattern has been a bit of a challenge. I had to sit for a while trying to work out how the hood part would be made. But I like a challenge and I've got plenty of time to do it nowadays !

I made the mistake of taking Fletch out for his usual 5 pm walk. 5 minutes from home and an enormous explosion of fireworks went off right over our heads. The bang was so loud it made me shout out. Poor Fletch just ran. I held on to his lead for dear life but he can't half shift!.
Unfortunately he was running in the opposite direction to home . I thought I'd come back a short cut but BANG. More fireworks. This time.he was terrified so.much that he jumped up into my arms ( this is the dog that hates to be picked up normally).  He's quite a heavy dog so by the time I got home we were both panting.
Once upon a time fireworks only went off on November 5 th and the focus was on visual effects not the loudest noise possible . Time to ban them except for public displays
