Thankful Birthday

My wifes birthday today, so we did another new route with the dogs this morning; a 5 mile loop from Maplebeck (pictured) to Kersall. Alll were invigorated by the nooks and crannys and new views of the countryside that we often cycle through.
 
The small plaque bottom left shows that Maplebeck is one of the "Thankful Villages" ie villages which lost no men fighting in either world war.

Takeaway tonight as England's national lockdown starts today.
