Garter Snake Road Hazard

I was fortunate to ride my bike this afternoon on what might be the last shirtsleeves weather day this year.
A garter snake basking in the warm sun on the bike path had the same idea.
I was able to maneuver my bike around this snake without disturbing him so I could tiptoe back for a photo.
