Winter garden

Swam this morning, Wednesdays are good because it is very quiet. By the end it was me.

Home to read papers for this afternoon while avoiding the US election news. It feels quite depressing.

It was sunny and I took the opportunity to get outside and finally cut back the lavender at the front. I've been putting it off but the bees seem to have gone. I also cut back the fuchsia in the back. Work was done on the front gate by M's stepson who also gave me some apples off the tree. More crumble anyone? Also had a quick chat with Y on the other side. We're planning coffee on Sunday.

Being in the garden always cheers my soul. I'm needing it. Today, better in some ways than yesterday, still feels difficult. I managed to chair Noms ok but I didn't feel enthusiastic about it.

Singing tonight. I'm still really tired from yesterday. I hope I stay awake..
