Hoops and Hopes

Had a nice, long walk in warm, drizzling rain. Here I was walking through the playground at Astor Elementary School.
I refused to look at or listen to anything political all day long. Yet it was difficult to settle into doing anything. I sorted through my stash of yarn, then put it away; I started 3 audio novels thinking I'd listen while drawing, but neither the books nor the drawing amounted to anything, then spent the evening drinking more wine than I should've while baking a pumpkin pie that was overdone and not very good (it was fun, though).
And how else could I have spent this day in misguided America?
