Summer can't be too far away.....

The artwork on this poster has caused some local controversy and red faces at the isle of Wight Council.
A local taxi firm asked if they could put the design of the art deco girl on the back of their taxis this year but the Isle of Wight Council which licenses cab firms refused permission because the 'design was inappropriate'.

Festival boss tweeted the decision and when the story appeared in the local paper so many incredulous comments were received that Council bosses were forced to back down and reverse the decision.

There is a local joke that when you board the ferry to the Island you should put your watch back 40 years. It seems to have been borne out in this instance.
