Tomorrow is the last day before Lockdown 2.0 in England. After work I met J for a coffee because I'm trying to do that a lot right now, did some shopping for lockdown (no one seems to be panic buyng this time), and came home for my two Zoom courses.

Was late for both and could not really concentrate. A WhatsApo message came through on our local group to say that a local weirdo, who has been spotted before attempting to kidnap school children, with aid of adult accomplices, had been sighted on the corner of our road. He'd been seen taking photos of the kids from inside a van the day before. The police were called and came immediately.

I've seen arson, suicide, double suicide, as well as antisocial behaviour on our estate before, and this new threat disturbs me profoundly, coming as it does on the eve of a lockdown of uncertain duration.
