Billy Goat

Sunset over Collingwood.
If the gold hadn't run out before they built the town then this could have been the capital of New Zealand.
Now it is a village of less than 800 at the end of highway 60.
Nice little place, couple of motels, a pub, a takeaway and a general store, plus a museum, an art gallery and a historic cemetery. More than most villages in the UK with 800 inhabitants! But then nowhere in the UK is 50 km from its nearest neighbour!
